In this painting I explored the boundaries between dream and reality. The vibrant turquoise and deep blacks form a complex landscape, where you can find both peace and mystery. This work invites the viewer to question the subtle balance between visible and invisible. In the preliminary research I used photos of various trips I made. This is the first work I made after my 2-year postgraduate residency at the HISK (Higher Institute for Fine Arts) in Ghent.
