This painting brings together fragments of architecture, landscape and memory from different moments in time. Images appear within shifting spatial structures, creating a layered environment in which past and present seem to overlap.
Inspired by the idea that starlight reaches us from a past that may already have changed or disappeared, the work explores how images also carry traces of another time. Rather than reconstructing that past, these fragments are rearranged into a new constellation: a space that has never actually existed.
Through this interplay of time, image and architecture, the painting opens up a space between memory and imagination, suggesting that fragments of the past can also become material for something yet to come.
