In this summery oil painting I combine figurative, metaphysical and surreal styles to create a dreamy, alienating scene. The work shows different composed spaces with images, shadows and reflections, mysteriously leading to an unexpected world, where reality and fantasy merge. My intention was to evoke a nostalgic feeling and challenge perceptions of space and place. The artwork is stretched on a supporting 'museum quality' aluminum frame.
